PPC Marketers, why not do a bit of DIY?

Now I do dabble in PPC + CPA marketing to get a bit of spare cash when I can afford to invest, but I spend most of my time freelance web developing/designing for PPC marketers who simply don’t know how. Here’s a quick tip; most of you are wasting money.

There are the upscale PPC marketers who simply don’t have time to design/develop every site, but for those smaller guys that only have a few sites, if you have a slight idea of how a website works – why not look into making your own?

I picked this up about 2 years ago and read it through and through and constantly reference it; PHP and MySQL Web Development.

Now some people might think it weird that I’m telling people to make their own sites when a lot of my income is based around making sites for novices, well if you have a technical background and the time – just give it a go – what’s the worse that could happen! And as for me, there’s plenty of rich marketers who don’t have the time or patience =]

Are you using the bird?

Are you using Twitter to it’s true potential? This past week I’ve had a lot of poking at the Twitter API thanks to two clients wanting some work doing with it, then writing a tutorial for a website (I’ll let you know if it gets approved!) and I’ve come to realize in the right hands Twitter can be unbelievably useful.

Not only can you reach an audience of hundreds to thousands, but you can do it instantly. This revolution has lead me to believe I can make a great (membership based – sorry I’m broke) tool, so look out as soon I’ll be unleashing it, and the first 100 users will get to use it for free =P

Marketers: Make cash out of your unwanted designs

Lots of my readers have been in touch and it’s pretty obvious that the most common readers I get are startup affiliate marketers, or people looking for marketing tips. We all know that when we’re starting up, every penny we can get to fund our venture is great.

This leads me on to my clearout I had the other day. I’ve developed loads of landing pages, wordpress skins and small layouts to try and use in affiliate marketing, but I only use about 10% of them. Someone somewhere will try the niche that you tried and decided against, and they’ll want a layout. I went through my designs folder and sold all the designs I no longer use and made almost $200.

For a startup, $200 extra money to feed the search engines, buy domains and whatever else is gold. So if you’re not using that domain, website layout, logo or anything else – sell it! There’s places such as digital point forums, ppc-coach forums or even places like themeforest. Get selling, get earning!

PPC-Coach Got a re-vamp

Now for those of you clever souls that use the wonderful PPC Coach, you’ll know the site has always looked a bit basic. The HTML was a bit too table-ish, the rounded corners didn’t look fantastic in some browsers. But it worked, and it helped people get off the ground and get their campaigns going too a profitable level where they could scale.

Now however, the coach has realized how much presentation counts, so PPC-Coach members area has got one hell of a revamp. The first page you hit now is the latest updates blog and the forum fits in perfectly with the new theme. The cost per month is still a well worth it CAD $49.99 (USD $45.50, GBP £28.00). Trust me, you’ll earn that back very quickly! Be in the loop and sign up soon, prices won’t be low forever!

P.s. sorry for the lack of posts, I’m back in the game now…
